Description

The Tulip Nebula in the Milky Way constellation Cygnus The Swan.

Briefly - the emission nebula is 8,000 LY away and 70 LY wide. The dark blue arc near the top,  just right of centre, is the shockwave powered by Cygnus X-1's black hole accretion  jets - source of one of the earth’s largest x-ray sources. Cygnus X-1 is located at the brighter of the two stars above the the Tulip's right petal tip.

The SII and Ha signals were both nice and strong. OIII pretty good as well.
